Spiced Pear Vodka Liqueur 50cl by Tipsy Wight

With East Asian influences, our Spiced Pear Vodka is a blend of four exotic spices including star anise and ginger, along with pears grown on the Isle of Wight. We use the European pear, Pyrrus communis in our Spiced Pear Vodka, because it has a consistently rich flavour and is incredibly juicy when ripe, the sort you shouldn't eat on a bus without having a napkin handy.

Pears are a wonderful fruit, although often neglected because of their propensity to stay hard for weeks, ripen for five minutes and then turn to mush. In fact if you pick then when they are ripe pears make a beautiful vodka, especially when combined with our spices which help bring out their unique flavour.

They have been used as a food source almost since time began and are often quoted in mythology and folklore. The Chinese associated pears with longevity, the pear tree lives much longer than an apple tree, and in parts of mainland Europe it is traditional to plant a pear tree to celebrate the birth of a girl.
