    Product Description

This unique multi-award winning chai is made from a traditional blend of therapeutic and warming spices that bottles the vibrancy and the true exotic taste of India. We’ve blended and infused cardamom, ginger, star anise, nutmeg, cloves, all spice, vanilla pods, mixed spice, fennel seed and cinnamon with, of course, a little un-refined sugar to help lift and bring the spices to life.

It's ever so easy use. Simply add 1-2 tablespoons of the concentrate into a milk of your choice. Then heat to your preferred temperature in either the microwave, on a hob, or with a steam wand on the coffee machine.

This chai has won several awards over the years. It was even voted as 'The best hot drink in the South West' in the 2014 and 2015 Taste of the West awards.

Not only can this chai be used to make chai lattes in the comfort of your own home, it has since been used in baking, cocktails and deserts. check out some of our awesome recipes and let us know how you get on.

True to its origin, our chai blend is naturally free from caffeine, artificial preservatives, colourings, and additives. Because of its concentrate form, Henny and Joe's chai is unique to the market and extremely versatile. Not only can it be used to make chai latte and chai tea, but it can also be used in baking, puddings, milkshakes, cocktails, and more.

    About the Producer
Having worked in Bath and the hospitality industry for around fifteen years, I have been fortunate to work with many local restaurants and cafés — the majority of whom serve Masala Chai in some form. From my experience, these establishments had in place a rather lengthy process for the preparation of their Masala Chai, and what’s more, it contained needless artificial additives. Most importantly, I believe that the products they used lacked depth of flavour and quality.

After experimenting with many different blends and ratios of spices, I perfected the Henny & Joe’s signature Masala Chai recipe. I started taking the product from place to place, and was bowled over by the positive feedback from both baristas and customers. Inspired by the popular demand, 2013 saw me launch my company, based in my hometown of Bath. But what to call it? Well, naturally after my favourite things in the whole world... my two sons, Henry and Joseph.

    Sustainability
We ensure that our packing materials are made from nothing but recycled cardboard, and better still, our creative packaging boffins have designed it so as little cardboard as possible is used, whilst still ensuring that our lovely Chai bottles reach you safely.

We also ensure that our business creates little waste material. Over the last few years, we’ve worked with London-based company Up Circle. They take our used spices, which still have so much more to give, and turn them into soap bars and candles.
