Our Story

In 2012 two British travellers found themselves housesitting on the Caribbean island of Roatán, situated 40 miles off the coast of Honduras. This is where Gaz and Beth discovered Pirate’s Grog and teamed up with the founder, Robert J. van der Weg to begin exporting rum across the globe.

Pirate’s Grog Rum Ltd was established in the UK in 2014, and the crew set up HQ in Hackney Wick, London. The company has gone on to develop multiple new products including Pirate’s Grog No.13 and Black Ei8ht Coffee Rum; winning awards with the IWSC and the World Rum Awards.

A focus on high quality, innovative drinks and a nod to modern day travellers, pirates and buccaneers has lead to rapid growth in the UK and Honduras; along with expansion into Holland, Czech Republic and Australia. Jump on board and join the crew.
