Le Val de Loue is an extremely soft, creamy and unique cheese. It is traditionally 'moule a la louche' (ladle-shaped) and matured with 'Marc du Jura', a local eau-de-vie made using leftover grape. This cheese is similar to cream cheese. The texture is extremely smooth, with a strong fresh milk flavour, similar to fresh goat's cheese. Le Val de Loue is easy to spread without being runny, also light and fresh but with a strong oaky flavour.
