Established in late 2015, Native Leaf is a family run business specialising in fine quality Yerba Mate.

Our Story

Native Leaf was established by Jwan and Nuora in late 2015 in West Yorkshire, UK. Both were yerba mate drinkers from a very young age. Native Leaf was started to promote well being through simplicity and transparency of the yerba mate herb. Yerba mate is a superfood full of antioxidants and vitamins and yet is super simple.

Yerba mate is simply a leaf! Specifically, the leaf of the holly plant Ilex paraguariensis from South America. Consumed for thousands of years by the Guarani people of South America. They drank it to boost their immune systems and boost their energy, and this tradition has continued to this day where it is the most popular drink in South America.
