Our Story

Plant-based and gluten-free Millionaire Shortbread Bars available in three delicious flavours; Salted Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip and Triple Chocolate. Our products are taste driven, using quality everyday ingredients you can find in your kitchen cupboard. Sure to satisfy all appetites beyond the labels attached to them. What started as a blog for delicious Free-From recipes has now transformed into a mission to make better-for-you treats mainstream. We want to challenge the status quo, provoke bold taste and finally move free-from, plant-based and natural snacks out of the counter-culture and into the mainstream way of eating appealing to even the pickiest of eaters. In 2012 our founder, Mirjam, discovered that she had a severe gluten intolerance along with multiple other health-related issues. She had to reinvent her entire approach to eating and completely overhaul her pantry using more natural unprocessed ingredients to satisfy her sweet tooth while still maintaining the excitement to make and eat it. Growing up spoiled with delicious home-cooked foods and cuisine from across the globe she aimed to never compromise on taste and to destroy the myth that Free-From had to be bland and boring. The Mimselicious blog was born for friends and family’s curiosity to recreate her dishes at home. We’ve now commercialised the very first recipe in a bakery in the beautiful British countryside where every bar is made and packed by hand in a family run business. By working closely with our manufacturer we are able to ensure we only use the best ingredients to make our treats taste as if you made them at home without having to lift a finger.
